Talking Points for “SAY NO TO THE BUSH AGENDA” March
- The march is definitely happening, and will be a peaceful, legal, and permitted event..
- We will assemble beginning at 10am at Seventh Avenue and 14th Street, and march past Madison Square Garden – site of the Republican Convention – beginning at noon.
- We have filed suit in State Supreme Court for a court order to rally in Central Park. We expect a ruling in this case on Wednesday or Thursday. The federal court ruling announced yesterday concerns a different organization, seeking to rally on a different day.
- If we win the court case, we will march to Central Park for an exuberant rally.
- If we lose the court case, we will negotiate with the City for a safe, peaceful, and orderly dispersal of the march. We will NOT go to the West Side Highway, and we will not have a rally.
