like to join us for dinner first.
Why: To turn out the biggest voter mobilization of GLBT campaign
volunteers EVER!

We have been asked by the Kerry-Edwards campaign to manage the
entire GLBT "Kerry Traveler" Program, matching up volunteers around
the country with locations to which they will travel, either on
weekends or for some period of time before the election, to get out
the GLBT vote in battlefield states.

This is an important and significant undertaking; it goes well
beyond what we have been doing as volunteers up until now. To date,
the Kerry-Edwards website has already signed up more than 1,500 GLBT
volunteers around the country that we are being asked to help
connect with battlefield state campaigns.

We expect that by the end of September, DC area volunteers will be
responsible for coordinating the efforts of MORE THAN 10,000 GBLT
VOLUNTEERS NATIONWIDE! And it is a project that needs to start NOW!

Starting at 7pm, our first task next Wednesday will be to call our
1500-person glbt volunteer list from around the country and welcome
them to the campaign, asking them where they'd like to go and what
they'd like to do on behalf of the campaign. You will be given a
script to use, so it will be very easy to just sit down and start
calling.

It should be easy and fun -- all of the people you'll be talking to
are people who have already asked to be contacted for volunteer
involvement. They are waiting for your call...:)

We will have a set of phones we can use, but if you have a cellphone
with unlimited night and weekend long
distance minutes, we ESPECIALLY want your participation!!

The more GLBT volunteers we turn out -- the more GLBT voters we turn
out -- the more leverage GLBT issues will have when the Kerry
administration takes power.
